Final Response

Using reading strategies will help understand a piece of literature better.

Reflecting:- After I read a chapter I reflect on what happened in that chapter to see if I know the right details or information. I think about the important details and if I dont get it I go back and read it again to remeber it and understand it.

Predicting:- In this book at some points it was easy to know whats going to happen next, but in the beginning of the beginning it was not easy to know what is going to happen next because I didnt know the shape of the book or how it goes. At first when I got the book just by looking at the cover of the book I thought the book was going to be about 3 kids that write school news on internet. It turned out that my prediction was wrong.

Questioning:- In this book there were somethings that I did not get or got confused in. So questioning is to ask questions before, while, or after reading. It's important to ask questions if I dont understand something who know maybe that part is the part where it has the climax of the. In the book when Catalina was sad because she was being threatened by Bethany's note that said "I think Catalina does not belong here in this school..." Then Elliot got really angry and he kept saying"How can they do such a thing? how can they?!" It made me confused why did Elliot feel really bad for Caralina? Was it because he liked her?

Visualizing:- I really enjoy doing that while reading. Its fun picturing the whole story in my head and see whats happening in scenes. It is really cool. It helps me understand the story better. It makes the story more enjoyable for you.

I think people should be using all of these strategies while they are reading. It helps a lot. It helps in remebering and understanding.
